For this week, Jomar showed us two portfolio blogs of his trainees, Abbie De Villar and Junalyn Alivio. Why? So we will be motivated to work on our own as well. It isn’t easy of course but our BIG WHY’s should have the compelling reasons for us to pursue our virtual careers.
I will share with you what I have learned in this week’s webinar:
- Contents of your Portfolio
- Have a short story of yourself, it’s all about you!
- Have a sample of your work
- Have testimonials from your clients, if you are just starting you can get it from your close friends or colleagues
- Suggest to have only 3-color website to look attractive
- Copywrite from other portfolios — it is OKAY to copywrite but make sure it will still show the REAL YOU
- Have a proof of your trainings – certificates and/or badges (Sir Jomar always provide badges for those who enrolled in his trainings, check the latest offers )
- Prepare at least ten TUTORIALS and include logo of the tools/apps being featured

- Your Portfolio doesn’t have to be perfect at first – a mistake is always a lesson
