Hi!  It’s Monday again!  And as you know, it’s our learning day! 🙂
In tonight’s webinar, our mentor, Jomar Hilario, redefine the meaning of Virtual Assistants…
In 2010, Virtual Assistants is someone who does calendar settings, manages the email of the client, professional administrative assistants… essentially a VA is an assistant… and it is also known as freelancer.
Sir Jomar changed the definition of Virtual Assistants in 2012, he introduces the term Virtual Career and Virtual Professional… Virtual Professional encompasses all the jobs done in a virtual careers industry…

 - Have your To Do List
 - Don’t be too focused on building your empire on online jobs, still family is more important
 - Have a work-life balance
 - Sticky Notes is important
 - Health benefits on having a workstation – more productive
 - Fool yourself if you must, do not always look on your workstation, so you won’t be working all the time 🙂
 - Be minimalist
 - Always update your website – clients are asking for contents
 - For Beginners, take Date with Freedom
 - Learn the Basics
 - Be specific with what you want and pray for it — good opportunities, right opportunities, right clients, no exact/standard time to work
 - No exact/standard time? Don’t take calls, only admin tasks
 - If you are getting clients, make sure to directly ask your clients’ goals, in that way you can really give the results that they want. Also ask for their timeline.
 - Where to get clients? Be more engaging on comments in FB Groups, Upwork, onlinejobs.ph, linkedin (especially those with Bachelor’s Degree)
 - Suggested Social Platforms: Facebook and Linked-In
 - Suggested Rates – Hourly and Fixed Rate, have both, depends on the task

 - Favorite Quote: If you want something you never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done. Break the pattern.

Sir Jomar:  One of the benefits working at home?  Your kids can do non-verbal messages for you!  Just like what Rowell’s daughter has done, she climbed on the bed as if saying “Daddy, matulog ka na…”
Alright!  I guess you’ll be arranging to have your own home office…
Have a glimpse of my current workstation, I’m still not satisfied because I want to have a better working table where I could freely move! 🙂

By the way, here’s my internet speed, hope I could have better Upload Speed:

Alright friends, that’s all for now! Till our next webinar take-aways…
Keep on learning! God bless! 🙂
