Whoah! Day 4 of our Copywriting Challenge! π
Do you also feel that excitement of learning new things each day?
For today, Gary Halbert will be teaching us the importance of self-reliance, get your copy here. π
Rely on Your Own Strength
For this day, Gary Halbert will be talking about physique again before he moves on his “money-making” lessons! π
Let’s face it, life isn’t fair and you really have to play your game well.Β You have to make sure that you have enough strength to explore the outside world.Β This probably is the main reason why Gary talked about health and physical fitness in his first 4 letters.
Truly, we can learn a lot from this man’s wisdom! Here’s my takeaway for his letter today:

You might be asking what are those “SIGNALS” that will also change when you get tough, I will borrow Gary’s words to explain, your signals are the way you move, the way you hold yourself, your reactions to outside stimuli.
And it’s true! As you get tough you will surely gain that self-confidence that will really show off when you deal with other people.
More Lessons Emphasized
I really appreciate how Bond had emphasized more lessons from Gary’s letters. Here it is…
First Lesson: Prioritize Well
We should learn from Gary Halbert that nothing should stand in the way of what you think is important in your life and routine.
You really have to know your priorities well!
Be careful, sometimes the things that (we think) might not take much from our time are usually the things that break our momentum in fulfilling our priorities.Β Make sure not to break your routine! π
Second Lesson: Have A Good Support System
It’s really good to see theΒ softness in Gary Halbert even he’s teaching us to be tough.
He’s so appreciative of his support system — his family.Β But it’s worth mentioning Bond’s observation on Gary’s skill of eradicating “not positive influence” people from his life. He eradicates those people that held him back (even his own father!).
Make sure that you have a well-chosen support system — keep the people who believe in you and will seriously help you accomplish your goals and eradicate people that won’t help you grow and succeed!
Third Lesson: Don’t be a Weak Target
I couldn’t express it more clearly than Bond’s, so here it is:
“Try to never appear weak, and it is easier not to appear weak when you are strong. Carry yourself with confidence (not arrogance) in everything you do and people will respond to it in a good way.“
So just remember this quote by Rockefeller, which Gary Halbert used at the end of his letter:
“Self-reliance is the most satisfying thing in the world and it is important to know that often self-reliance is the real motive of good businessmen and not money.”
My Proof
Yay! Four letters rewritten! π

See you in the next chapter! π
